The Keweenaw Bay Hockey Association is always looking for volunteers to help with everything from working on the board to manning the concession stand during High School games. Here are some of the positions that are typically needed:
- Concession Stand -
The concession stand is open during all youth and high school games as well as during open skating and figure skating events. People are needed to keep watch over it during those times. Necessary skills are basic math as well as good customer service
- Ticket Taking -
All High School games feature an entrance fee that is collected when people walk into the lobby. The KBHA is looking for people who would be willing to help take tickets. Basic math skills, as well as good customer service, are things that are needed.
- Coaches -
The KBHA is always looking for qualified coaches for all ages of hockey teams to help out with the teams. Coaches must be willing to go through USA Hockey training courses as well as spend time teaching the kids necessary hockey skills.
- Board Members -
The Keweenaw Bay Hockey Association, L’Anse Hockey Association and Baraga Hockey Association are all looking for motivated volunteers to join the board. This includes participating in monthly meeting and having an open mind towards making things better for the Hockey Associations.
- Ice Makers -
Every October or November volunteers are needed to help put the ice in. Volunteers need to just have a desire to help, e-mail us around that time to help, puck@kbhockey.com.
